The Ask

My group and I found that the best way to stay updated on and promote current trends are through social media sites like TikTok. Since we had a goal of creating a new trend with Mighty Patch pimple patches, we targeted our audience to cater to Gen Z athletic highschoolers who tend to be outdoors frequently and are likely to get bug bites.

Teens are all about quick fixes and getting something done as fast as possible so these on the go pimple patches directly matched our target audience. We incorporated bright colors and items that younger teenagers would carry to attract the targeted younger audience. We also included new Gen Z slang and lowercase typeface throughout our advertisements to relate to this targeted audience. Also, we wanted to hone in on the fact that these pimple patches could be for outdoor use too so we used outdoor backgrounds for these print ads.
